Appeal to the Senses
What’s so appealing about a dentist’s appointment? Maybe it just means leaving work a few hours early. Maybe it’s the free toothbrush and floss. Maybe it’s the only chance you’ll have all day to lie down and relax. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if your trip to the dentist would appeal to all your senses?
The dental studio of Dr. Andrea Robinson does just that. The first thing your eyes will notice when you arrive is the hominess of the living room style waiting room. The cozy furniture, houseplants, and seasonal decorations begin to set the stage for a different type of dental experience. Each of the team members dresses in a business-casual style, not the scrubs you may be used to seeing. If you are feeling anxious during your visit, you can relax while watching your pick of several movies available on the MyVu video glasses.
Your ears will notice a difference as well. Dr. Robinson understands that the sound of a dental drill can be really disturbing. That’s why she uses an electric hand piece that is much quieter. In the background, you’ll hear the calming sounds of WBFJ Christian radio.
Your nose will also appreciate the time you spend at Dr. Robinson’s studio. Aromatherapy and fragrance sticks fill the air with soothing scents. If you arrive early in the morning, you’ll find the studio filled with the aroma of chocolate chip, sugar, white chocolate, or cranberry-oatmeal cookies, freshly baked each day. Those cookies will appeal to your taste buds as well. You may also enjoy a bottled water or chilled Starbucks coffee from the refrigerator.
